As Fire Chief for the Oregon Area Fire/EMS District, I am deeply honored to lead this professional organization and am committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the district, its residents, and visitors.
Our essential duties extend beyond fire suppression and emergency medical response. We provide vehicle extrication, technical rescue, fire prevention and education, fire investigation, and emergency management of natural disasters. Through these varied services, we aim to ensure safety and security for the Village of Oregon, Townships of Dunn, Oregon, and Rutland, as well as the surrounding communities. Our goal is to ensure that our community is safe and strives to be its best. I am fully aware of the task at hand and the expectations set for our district. However, I am equally confident in the capacity and commitment of the men and women in this organization, demonstrating dedication, service, and integrity towards this community.
As you travel throughout the 44 square miles of this district, we protect approximately 18,000 residents. Our members work diligently to achieve the highest levels of preparedness and prevention in both the Fire and EMS services offered. Our community has been served by dedicated members from the area for 130 years. Today, our staffing is robust, answering over 1,800 calls a year!
We take great pride in our district and are committed to providing the best care for you, your family, and your property should the need arise.
Feel free to stop and meet with me or my team when you're in the area.
Stay safe,
Chief Linzmeier
