Community Outreach

At the Oregon Area Fire/EMS District (OAFED), we are deeply committed to serving our community by offering extensive education and training opportunities. We understand the importance of empowering our residents and visitors with knowledge and skills in various aspects of fire and emergency medical services. Our dedicated staff is eager to assist the community in enhancing their awareness and prevention strategies, ensuring everyone’s safety and well-being.

On this page, you will find valuable educational resources as well as the ability to request a training course. These links provide easy access to crucial information that can make a significant difference in emergency situations.

OAFED also offers a range of educational and training opportunities. These include CPR/AED Certification and Awareness, essential for life-saving situations; Fire Extinguisher Training, equipping you with the skills to respond to small fires safely; and Stop the Bleed Training, a critical skill in emergency first aid. Please note that our Car Seat Installation service is currently unavailable, but we aim to resume this important service soon.

In addition to these training opportunities, OAFED is always ready to engage with the community through various outreach events. We offer Station Tours, adhering to safety precautions, Fire Apparatus Tours, and Presentations for a closer look at the equipment we use, Safety Drills for preparedness, and installations of Smoke Detectors and Carbon Monoxide Detectors to ensure your home safety. We also provide Blood Pressure Screenings as part of our commitment to your health and well-being.

If you are interested in scheduling a community outreach event or require more information, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can reach the Fire Chief or the Division Chief of EMS by calling the fire station. All relevant contact information is available under the “Contact Us” page of our website.

At OAFED, we are here for you, ready to educate, train, and safeguard our cherished community.
